About Sarah
Why therapy?
As a dance major in college, I loved the mind-body connection through expressions of movement. I’ve always known I’ve had a passion for expression, but I did not know I wanted to be a therapist until I stumbled upon a book once at Half Price Books. I was browsing the shelves and found someone’s fill-in-the-blank self-help book they probably had forgotten they had donated. I remember this person’s words as an unedited process, a series of raw thoughts in their purest form - unaltered by the fear of judgment. That’s when I realized I wanted to be a part of helping people translate their thoughts and feelings into what feels meaningful and true to themselves, the way dance had done for me. That’s when I decided to become a therapist.
